About the Team

Built on the start line, not the podium.

EZ Striders Endurance is a welcoming community of athletes of every ability — united by training, racing, perseverance, and genuine support for one another.

We’re based in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts, and growing throughout New England. Whether you’re lining up for your first 5K or your next Ironman, there’s a place for you here.

The team was founded by Ian Swett and Brooks Robinson. In 2027 our focus is simple: recruit a founding group of athletes and build a supportive endurance racing community together.

  1. Restraint.

Patience in training. Smart pacing on race day. Showing up for the long game.

  2. Perseverance.

Every finish line is earned. We keep going — and we help each other keep going.

  3. Endurance.

Triathlon, running, cycling and beyond. The distance is yours to choose.

Meet the Founders

Started by athletes, for athletes.

    Ian Swett

    Co-Founder

I grew up in the small New England town of Sutton, New Hampshire, and I’ve always been an athlete. I played high school football, then semi-pro football in Arizona, and five years in the Marine Corps made long, hard runs part of everyday life.

When my father passed away five years ago, he left me his old Cannondale Lefty gravel bike. It sat in my garage until the summer I broke my big toe and couldn’t run. Restless and not sure what to do with myself, I took the bike out for a ride, and then I rode it every day after that.

Last summer I took up swimming and signed up for my first triathlon, the Boston Triathlon. After a season of hard training, I was just hoping to finish. I pushed, and I crossed the line third in my age group. Ever since, I’ve wanted to find out how far this sport can take me, and that’s a big part of why we started EZ Striders.

Away from training, I’m a husband and a father of two.
